McGurrin Hall was constructed in 1997-1998 for approximately $7 million as a home for the University's Panuska College of Professional Studies (known previously as the College of Health, Education, and Human Resources). It currently houses the Counseling and Human Services, Education, Health Administration and Human Resources, and Nursing departments. It is also home to the Leahy Community Health and Family Center, which serves the dual purpose of identifying and meeting the health and wellness needs of underserved individuals in the greater Scranton community while providing a place wehre faculty guide students in a practical educational experience.
McGurrin's four stories include classrooms, laboratories, teaching instruction labs, and counseling suites.
