ion at over one million dollars.
In an exclusive Aquinas ~nterview.
Mr. Barrett predicted that
the intensive canvassing of the
more than 50.000 families encompassed
by the drive should
push it over the top.
This drive marked the first time
that simultaneous meetings' were
held in every parish of the Dio~
cese. Team Captains and workers
received all supplies and equipment
necessary to carry them through
the duration of the drive.
"Several factors will probably
contrib]lte to the success of
the endeavor," said Mr. Barrett.
"All workers have been instructed
to make their calls in pairs. This
technique has proved to be very
effective in other fields." he added.
"An intensive one week cam~
paign rather than a one prolonged
and filled with progress reports
should inspire the parish teams to
a fast and efficient effort:'
