Compiling, a phone book containing the
names and numbers 'of off-campus and
commuter students is another new
project, McGroarty said.
Student Government should also
benefit from the extra office space it
gained last week when the SG office was
moved to the basement floor of the
Student Center, McGroarty said. "We
definitely needed the space."
Although the Annual Block Party will
basically be the same, McGroarty said
some changes will be made. ,An .
organizational meeting is scheduled for
4:30 p.m. today in the Student
Government office.
"We're going to be a little more sports
oriented and try to get more people '
involved in the Block Party," McGroarty
said. '
Since planning events is difficult when
Student Government members are at
home during the slimmer, a full calendar
of events is yet to be determined

doing and how their money is spent,"
McGroarty said.
Later this month, Student Government
will hold an outdoor fall dinner dance for
the first time, McGroarty said. Although
this dance will be limited to juniors and

Campus changes occur during summer
BY CHRISTINE- FANELLE
Aquinas Managing Editor
The construction of the new
dormitory, the addition of several
parking lots and an off-campus
residence, and the renovation of
academic buildings are some
changes which make this summer
the busiest one in the past several
years, Gary Zampano, coordinator of
facilities planning' said.
Two buildings acquired last year,
Rock Hall, located at 419 Monroe
Ave., and the Hill House, at the
corner of Linden Street and N.
Webster Avenue, have been
renovated and are currently being
used.
Faculty meetings and
functions will be held at the
Hill House, Zampano said.
Rock Hall now houses the
Security, Central Services
and Maintenance
departments on its lower
level, Zampano said.
The open hall on the
upper level is being
considered for conversion
into a chapel, Rev. Thomas
Masterson, S.J., director of
Campus Ministries said.
"No decision has been made
as of yet," Masterson said.
Faculty offices in St.
Thomas, O'Hara and
" Jefferson halls have been
.,......... added and departmental-ized,
Zampano said. "We're trying
to consolidate department and
faculty functions as much as
possible," he said.
The Gonzaga House, located on
Clay Avenue between Mulberry and
Linden streets, now houses 14
female students.
Construction on the new
dormitory is "running close to
schedule," Zampano said, and most
