Library Meet
Set for May 3
Northeast Chapter, Pennsylvania Library Association, will
hold its spring meeting Saturday, May 3 at the Wilkes College
Center for the Performing Arts,
Wilkes-Barre, starting at 9:30
a.m. with registration.
Mrs. Nada Vujica, librarian,
Wilkes College and hostess for
the event, has announced that
Dr. Eugene Shedden Farley,
president, Wilkes College, will
welcome the assembled
librarians, trustees and friends
of libraries.
After the business session,
Miss Wendy Wade, VISTA Recruitment, Washington, D.C. will
show a film "A Year Toward
Tomorrow." Dr. Willard Allison
Heaps, award-winning author of
Wandering Workers and Riots,
U.S.A. will speak on "The
Pleasures and Perils of Authorship."
All librarians, trustees and
interested friends of libraries
may make reservations with
Mrs. Vujica. Tours of the new
Eugene Shedden Farley Library
at Wilkes have been scheduled.
The Northeast Chapter's Spring
Meeting coincides with Wilkes-
Barre's "Cherry Blossom
Festival" also scheduled for
May 3.
