Scope and Content Note

This collection contains scrapbooks of news clippings, photographs, and ephemera relating to the University of Scranton campus community. Additional scrapbooks are regularly acquired, so the inventory below may only be a partial list for the current collection. Please contact University Archives staff for additional collection information.

This series contains 17 photograph scrapbooks created by students living in residence halls during the 1980s, recording dorm activities and events throughout the year. The collection is part of Accession 1989-228 but is stored on separate shelf. No materials from this series have yet been digitized.

Series II. Basketball Newspaper Clippings Scrapbooks - Oversized

This series contains 7 clippings scrapbooks donated by retired basketball coach Bob Bessoir. The clippings are related to the University's basketball program from 1987-2000. The scrapbooks all measure roughly 21 x 26 x 2 inches, and they are in good condition but have loose items. The collection is part of Accession 2015-008 but is stored on a separate shelf. No materials from this series have yet been digitized.

Acquisition Information

Scrapbooks in this collection come from a variety of sources. Some of the scrapbooks were created by residence hall students (Series I) and the Athletics Department (Series III). Others come from various sources (Series III), including the President's Office and the Office of Alumni Relations.
